Dr. Sheeza Ali is a healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience spanning various roles in clinical practice, administration, and academia. Currently serving as the Dean of the School of Medicine, Dr. Sheeza Ali brings a wealth of expertise and insight to the field of healthcare innovation.
With a background as a Medical Officer and Ophthalmologist in the hospital setting, Dr. Sheeza Ali has firsthand experience in patient care and clinical practice. This experience, coupled with advanced qualifications including an MBBS, MBA, MCPS and FCPS (Ophthalmology) has equipped Dr. Sheeza Ali with a deep understanding of medical science, healthcare management, and organizational leadership.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Sheeza Ali has held significant leadership positions, including Director General of Health Services in the Ministry of Health and Project Director of the Medical School Project at the Maldives National University. In these roles, Dr. Sheeza Ali demonstrated exemplary strategic vision, policy development, and project management skills, driving initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery and education at both national and institutional levels.
Passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to advance healthcare, Dr. Sheeza Ali has a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence and patient simulation.
